On August 30th, 2025, Luca Dini, founder and CEO of LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, spoke at the third edition of TEDx Forte dei Marmi. His talk, titled “Beyond the waves: where yachting and architecture meet”, explored the connections between yacht design and architecture, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and experiential luxury that prioritizes detail and quality over ostentation.

Drawing on over thirty years of experience, Dini highlighted how yachts are increasingly like floating architecture and how urban projects can take inspiration from the fluidity and lightness of the marine world. Key examples included Sindalah Island, a luxury Red Sea project by the studio, and iconic architecture such as the Sydney Opera House and The Wave in Denmark, demonstrating the harmony between form, landscape, and function.
