A remarkable yacht with distinctive military and explorer vessel-style exterior lines, recognized with accolades for design, noise reduction, and environmental protection.
M/Y Cacos V, now known as M/Y Giraud, stands as a remarkable 40m/131ft yacht from Admiral Yachts, launched in 2013 as the first vessel in the Admiral Impero line. Since its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, it has captivated with its distinctive exterior lines—powerful, imposing, and angular, striking a unique balance between a military ship and an explorer vessel.
Inspired by the automotive world, M/Y Cacos V departs from traditional yacht designs with intentional diversity. It is designed for comfortable ocean crossings, boasting the largest internal volume of any 40m Motor Yacht worldwide, despite its 500 GT gross tonnage. The yacht features open spaces that facilitate seamless dialogue between interior and exterior areas.
The interiors are spacious and lofty, with a considerable height of 2.20m and ample natural light streaming through large windows, particularly in the main deck lounge where the windows are floor-to-ceiling.
M/Y Cacos V is recognized by RINA as the quietest Motor Yacht globally, with a 25% reduction in noise and 80% less vibration compared to the average. It holds both the RINA Comfort certification and the RINA Green Star for environmental protection.
The yacht has garnered numerous accolades, including the Exterior Design & Styling Award for Semi-displacement Motor Yachts at the Showboats Design Awards 2014 and the Semi-Displacement or Planing Three Deck Motor Yachts from 30m to 44.9m category at the World Superyacht Awards 2014. It was also a finalist for the Environmental Protection Award at the Showboats Design Awards 2014 and Best Power 40m - 65m at the International Superyacht Society Awards 2014.
M/Y Giraud stands as a testament to Admiral Yachts' dedication to innovation, design excellence, and environmental responsibility.
